Historical information

John E. Blacker was a Methodist and then Uniting Church miinister - placements at Dandenong (Lilydale), Kilmore & Broadford, Kerang-Barham, Sunshine, and Moonee Ponds. In the early 1980s he led a charismatic renewal program at Sunshine and Moonee Ponds, and was involved with a controversy over re-baptisms. At a later point, he resigned from the Uniting Church ministry to lead the "Advance & Restoration Ministries" program that he and his son, Paul, managed.
