The first church building on this site faced Erica St. The "new" church was built in 1929 facing Balwyn Road. The new church was built in memory of Sir Aaron Danks. The Architect was Mr Louis R. Glen Iris Presbyterian Church on the corner of High Street and Allison Avenue. The foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister Mr R. G. Menzies and was opened on 21 November 1953.
