These two chairs are Grant Featherston prototypes of the 1947 Relaxation Chairs. These chairs came from the Boyd family's Camberwell home (666 Riversdale Road, Camberwell, formerly 158 Riversdale Road) and were originally upholstered with webbing. The fixings were modified in the final product Relaxation chairs. Robin Boyd designed the Ivanhoe home of Grant and Mary Featherston (1967).Dark orange with black fine check woven wool. Bishops Palace was built in 1877 as the home for the first Bishop of Ballarat. The Palace was designed by Melbourne architect, Joseph Reed, of Reed and Barnes, and built by George Broom at a cost of £6,000. The property is particularly notable for its four acres of impressive heritage-listed gardens. This diorama is the focal point the Prisoner of War Gallery. It was originally designed and installed by a collaborative group of artists and craftsmen, all themselves former Prisoners of War in 1995. Bamboo for the display and replica prosthetics was sourced from Thailand. The mannequins are artistic interpretations of identified POW surgical staff and doctors. The original display was moved and reassembled during the Gallery redevelopment process in 2015. 1/10 size scale model of couta Boat Ariel. Built by Arthur Woodley Crib Point, April 2001- June 2002. Although later fitted with a motor, Ariel was one of the last couta boats designed principally for sailing, and still sails at Portland.
