The Home and Hospital Group of Legacy Widows photographed by a professional photographer at Legacy House. Names unknown, except seated in the middle of the table is Vera Paydon. The reference number from the photographic studio 911016-17 which means 16 October 1991. Other photos with that reference number are at 00669 and 00670.Legacy provided the opportunity for many gatherings of widows to enjoy social interaction and companionship. The Protestant Association of Victoria was established in 1858. It is distinct from the Victorian Protestant Association that was established in 1917 and was active during and after World War I.The card carries the signatures of the founding members of the Association, including John Pascoe Fawkner, who, after settling in Hobson's Bay in October 1835, amassed large land holdings, was a newspaper proprietor and served on the Legislative Council for 18 years. Nyuwara Tapaya (5 August 1971-c2005) Born Ernabella, South Australia Pitjantjatjara speaker Nyuwara Tapaya had distinguished career in print media and textiles (batik). She trained at Ernabella Arts and studied dye technique in Indonesia. This item is part of the Federation University Art Collection.
