Four page typed document plus location map. The United Hustlers and Redan mine was located in the North Bendigo, Long Gully area on the Hustlers line of reef.. The lease was 153 acres and included Holdsworth, Holmes, Havilah Roads and Wood Street. The Redan shaft was 1,830ft and the South or K.K. Shaft was 1,960 ft. Poppet legs steel 71 ft high. Bob (Herman) Hymans (a former member of the Royal Netherlands Navy) was born in Bloemendaal, Holland on 30th September 1922. During World War II he fought against the Japanese in the Dutch East Indies (now Indonesia) and was imprisoned in Changi and on the Burma Railway. After gaining qualifications as a Ski Instructor, Bob arrived in Falls Creek in July 1950. Working as an Instructor and Supervisor at Bogong Lodge, Bob decided his future was in accommodation. He was successful in negotiating an indenture for land from the State Electricity Commission (SEC). It took Bob two years to build his Grand Coeur Chalet but, tragically, it was burned down in August 1961. Bob also built the first Chairlift in Australia. This was a single chairlift and the structure was built from wooden electricity poles. He was constantly full of new ideas and proposals for the village. Bob Hymans died on 7th July 2007. This Collection of documents and letters tells the story of Bob's endeavours to develop Falls Creek into the ski village it is today.This item is significant because it documents actions taken by the Falls Creek Tourist Area Management Committee in their role overseeing the Tourist Area.A voters' roll listing all those eligible to vote for the Commercial Licensees Representative to the Falls Creek Area Management Committee. The information includes the Site number occupied, names and contact details, and in some cases the name of the person to cast the vote if there was more than one holder of the lease or licence. Bob Hymans is listed as the licensee for SIte 4 - Four Seasons Lodge and Site 4A - Grand Coeur Flats. Copies of reports and notes prepared by Hal Cain on the moving of trams to the new depot, depot access track construction and the construction of the depot. All on foolscap sheets, toner photocopies, with punched holes on the left hand edge. 914.1 - copy of a memo on the method of moving tramcars from the old SEC Depot to the Society's new building. Written on BTPS letterhead (see item 913) over two sheets of paper. Photocopied onto a single foolscap sheet of paper. In top right hand corner has notation "written by HAL 22/12/71". Last point - number 9 did not copy well and has lost most of last line - see 914.2 (Note by WAD - basis of method used for the movement of the first tram, but found to be very difficult and likely to damage the tramcars. Led to the laying of a temporary access track to the edge of the Wendouree Parade, which was used for the movement of the following five tramcars.) 914.2 - as for 914.1 but includes good text of point 9. 914.3 - copy of a report written by Hal Cain about the "Construction of connecting track in South Gardens Reserve from the Society's Depot to Wendouree Parade". This medallion was produced to commemorate the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's annual air show which was held at Wodonga in 1981. It took place at Joe Drage's Air World Museum in Wodonga, Victoria. It recognised the 50th anniversary of the manufacture of the first De Haviland 82 Tiger Moth in 1931. This medallion and 2 other linked medallions were owned by Mr. Clive Cossor. He spent a lot of time at Drage's Historical Aircraft Museum and also helped transport gliders. He was also at the Albury racecourse as a teenager to assist in moving the Uiver when it was forced to land in a storm during the MacRobertson Trophy Air Race from London to Melbourne in October 1934.This medallion is significant as it records an important event recognising aviation in Australia and recognises the development of the Tiger Moth aircraft.A medallion produced to commemorate the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's annual air show held at Wodonga in 1981On the front around the medallion surrounding an image of a Tiger Moth aircraft: "The Golden Anniversary of the DH. 82 "Tiger Moth" 1931-1981" Numbered 71 On reverse around the edge: "Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia/ WODONGA 1981".
