Part of the collection purchased by the City of Portland from Kurtze's museum. Brendon Kurtze believed it was from the 'Constant', but the wreck was later proven to be the 'Regia' by V.A.S.Wooden painted figurehead believed to be from the barque 'Regia' (built 1835). Painted white female with floral wreath in hair, holding a scroll in both hands, sash over right shoulder, diamond-shaped object on ribbon around neck, beaded necklace, dress with puffed short sleeves, bare arms, hair set in curls and a bun on the back of head. Figurehead is torso only. Inspection suggests that it has been cut from the wreck or from the rest of the figurehead's body.Front: (no inscriptions) Back: (no inscriptions) -

Medal - Medal, Royal Visit of Queen Elizabeth II, c. 1954
Commemorative medal commissioned by the Victorian state government as a souvenir of the Royal Visit by Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh to Victoria in 1954. The medal was presented to all Victorian school children. It was struck by Stokes & Sons of Melbourne. The Queen and Prince Philip visited Victoria from 24 February to 9 March 1954. The first reigning monarch to tour Australia, she arrived in Sydney on 3 February 1954 and departed the country from Fremantle on 1 April 1954. The Royal party visited all the capital cities apart from Darwin, and over 70 country towns.Bronze medal, hanging from a rectangular bar. The obverse of the medal features profile portraits of the Queen and Prince Philip. Portland Post Office Clock. Case is apparently new.Large mantle clock made from dark wood. Front door has a large glass pane with roman numerals in gold affixed to interior of glass. Brass arms and some of workings of clock visible through the door.Front: PORTLAND ROTARY CLUB INC. This original Portland Post Office clock, dated 1882, was fully restored and presented to the Portland City Council by Rotarian Norm Middleton on 20 September 1993.
