The Tally Ho Business Park was built on vacant land previously owned by the Methodist Church. The land was sold cheaply to the Church by Abel Hoadley, and the Tally Ho Boys Home was erected there. A change in the care of the boys meant that the land became vacant for a considerable time before buildings appeared. A battery operated device that is rectangular in shape with a sensor plate on top and an on/off switch on one end. At the other end is a round lid that screws off to allow a round 9 volt battery to be inserted. In 2002, the Master Building Excellence in Construction Award (Excellence in Construction (Existing Building) 85M-110M) was presented to L.U. Simon Builders Pty Ltd for the National Information Centre, Vision Australia Foundation, Kooyong. A series of early twentieth century photographs were sourced and reprinted on to chipboard panels for use by the Royal Blind Society of NSW publicity department, to demonstrate the work and activities that blind people did at the Sydney Industrial Blind Institute (later RBS NSW, now Vision Australia). The Eureka A4 was a Melbourne invention, designed to capitalise on the growth of IBM PCs. It attached to the PC and allowed blind and vision impaired people to utilise screen orientated programs. The Royal Victorian Institute for the Blind supported the project and in this image, David Blyth and the managing director of Robotron Milan Hudecek, pose for a publicity shot at the launch of the Eureka A4 Notetaker in July 1997.
