Black & white photograph 20cm x 25cm of the Bendigo Butter Factory in Mundy St., mounted on cardboard. It appears to have been part of a display, with explanatory notes attached to each photograph. See 11011.28. On the reverse of the title photograph is the date 1950-1955. There is a blue registration stamp with the words 'Pure creamery, Australia, Victoria regd'. On the back of the board. This photograph is of the front entrance to the factory with cream urns being delivered by truck. The signs 'Bendigo Butter Factory' and 'H&N Bendigo Butter & Ice Factory' are across the front of the building. The delivery truck bears the sign 'Holdenson & Nielson Fresh Food Pty Ltd'. Large, framed certificate awarded to Misses V. Sheives & K . Foster for First Prize for Piano Duet Under 16 in the Austral Literary and Debating Society's Bendigo Competitions, 1906. Certificate signed by E. ?, President and Thomas Byrne, Hon. Sec. Certificate has 2 angels at the top, 1 with a harp and 1 writing. At each side and the bottom is a lady dressed in robes. Leaves and scroll work decorate the certificate. 4 cm frame has green and gold leaf & flower decoration which is falling off and 13mm small gold frame inside. Edges of frame painted dark green. Block of tickets each - red ink on 60 gsm buff paper, denomination 5d (printed in blue), numbered F029003 - F029049 (six missing) headed State Electricity Commission of Victoria, Provincial Tramways. Originally a block of 50 tickets been stapled onto a heavy cardboard back with a heavy metal staple and a small cardboard retaining strip at the top of the ticket. The ticket number is in black ink while the "E" prefix is in red, the ticket number is in black. Ticket used as a Transfer, had day of issue to be punched on the left hand side and the validated destination in number on the right hand side. Tickets 012 to 017 have been removed from block. Note the high set bumper bar on the tramcar and the large ticket wallet in the Conductors bags and the inside blinds on the windows of the saloon.
