Brass coloured metal scales with weighing pan, three larger ball weights and one smaller ball hanging from the arm. Metal cast label "H Troemner's Ball Scale No 24". Weighing balance arm has numbers 1 to 6, also 0 to 16 scale (pounds and ounces). Many signatures with dates on the base of the weighing pan, probably of people who worked with the scales (from 1889 to 1988). Portable watch clock with a Detex Newman name badge on black leather casing (front). Used at John Kitchen and Sons in the 1960s (and on?) . Used for security purposes as it records the time when the security officer "clocked on" at each of the numerous points around the premises (i.e. it provided evidence that he had, at least, fully patrolled all areas).
