St. Mary's Anglican Church at Bulla was originally built on the outskirts of Bulla township in 1858. In the early 1970s it was moved to its present site to make way for the flight path at the newly constructed Tullamarine Airport. The former site was on the corner of Oaklands and Sunbury Roads and is covered with vegetation. St. Andrew's Uniting Church, formerly the Presbyterian church includes two different church buildings as well as a new addition built at the rear of the 1904 red brick building. A small weather board structure was used as a church until the Romanesque brick building opened in 1904. Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church was designed by the architect William Wardell. Prior to the construction of the church, mass was conducted at the Daniel Home 'Narbonne'. The foundation stone was laid on 13/11/1804 by the Catholic Bishop of Melbourne, Rev. Dr. J. Since it was built in the 1860s the two storey brick building has had a number of commercial uses including butter and ice making, a general store, an equestrian store, an art gallery, a community Christian centre and a health studio. The bluestone house 'Amelia' was built in 1914/1915 and has included a combination of Victorian and Federation styles. Andrew Patterson the first owner lived there for over 40 years. The brick building was constructed in 1911/1912 and replaced an earlier school building. In 1942/43 the school building was extended to cope with the increased population in Sunbury. The State School remained on the Macedon Street site until 1999 when it was relocated to the restored former Industrial School at Jacksons Hill.A coloured photograph of the former Sunbury State School No. 1002. The double storey Federation style house was built in 1911 for Dr. William Cooke Faulkner who was the local doctor until his death in 1922. It was then bought by the local state school headmaster, John James Rogers, for over 6,500 pounds. In the early 1940s a grazier, Eric George Whiteside, bought the property. Bill Landeryou, MLC lived in the house until the late 1980s. The weatherboard house is one of the six weatherboard cottages which were built on the east side of O'Shanassy Street in the early 1900s. It has been listed in the Heritage Study in 1998. The Rupertswood Gatehouse, iron fence and gates are of state historical and architectural importance as they are probably the most distinctive structures of their type in Victoria.A coloured photograph of the Rupertswood Lodge, iron fence and gates. The Sunbury Memorial Hall was originally the Mechanic's Institute which was built on the present site in 1885. The hall was remodelled in 1922 and renamed the Sunbury Memorial Hall. The building was used until the 1960s as the meeting place by the Shire of Bulla Council. In 1963 construction of the new municipal shire offices began and the new offices were opened in October 1963. The Sunbury Library and the George Evans Museum are housed in buildings which were once extensions of the Shire of Bulla Municipal Offices. The small one roomed school is closed at the site along the Calder Highway and was relocated to the new school building in Plumpton Road at Diggers Rest.
