The section layout is the same as Reg Item 2116. Has Bushells Pty Ltd Tea advertisement on the rear. 8. - 3d City Section, Orange - (3No. A032622, 036606, 047637) - note the same as Reg Item 3982. All have dates on the rear - August 1963. 9. - 3d Concession - Orange, (A447731, 470928) - note the same as Reg Item 3989 and 4001. One has date of 1/3/63 on rear. 10 - 4d Brown (7 No. Y997727, 998446, Z004193, 005655, 012671, 018609 & 024899) - Some have dates of 1963 in pencil on the rear. Extract Hansard, Legislative Council, 2/10/1968, titled "Ballarat and Bendigo Tramways - Proposed Abandonment". Sir Percy Byrnes moved that the proposed abandonment by the SEC be not made. Pages 471 to 494 reports on the speach by Sir Percy, I.A. Swinburne who seconded the motion, V.O. Dickie who opposed the motion for the Government. Others who spoke were , F. J. Granter, F.S. Grimwade, J.M. Tripovich. The Motion was supported by the Country and Labor parties who had the numbers in the upper house. Gives notes on the through routing of the tram service, how the clock style format works and that it operates from the Tramway Centre. Also details when extra services are run and times as specific points along the route. Pages 24 and 25 detail the fares and charges, page 26 - luggage, page 27 - section destinations for the various routes and page 28, notes recent reductions in electricity charges. Two copies held. Headed with SEC details, punch marks for day of week on the sides, in and out directions and in the centre area of the ticket, overprinted in red, numbers 1 to 8. On rear has availability details, where it can be used, not available on Sunday and ticket number "EA341101" printed on the ticket in black ink. Has been used and possibly ex a tramcar given the condition. Note different style to that held to date (5/2005) for use in Ballarat and Bendigo.
