This souvenir bookmark was for an international conference that highlighted the role Australia archives in an international forum held in Brisbane and in Australia for the first time. It is one of a large collection of bookmarks held at Hymettus that records historical events from the mid-nineteenth century to 2020.

This a photograph of the Gippsland representatives at the C.A.T.S. conference. This photograph was taken at the Curriculum and Technology in Schools workshop held in Bendigo, Victoria in October 1987. Rev. Daniel J. Draper (1810 - 1866). Arrived in Australia in 1820 where he worked for ten years in NSW and Vic before going to SA where he worked for the next 20 years. He built the Pirie Street Methodist Church. He left SA in 1855 returning to Victoria where, in 1859, he was elected President of the Australian Conference. Rev Draper returned to England in 1865 where he was appointed representative to the British Conference from Australia. He set out to return to Australia with his wife on the SS London in 1866 which almost immediately ran into a storm and all but 19 passengers died.
