Flyer - Advertising, Piano & Theory, Unknown
The object shows that Olive Duncan taught piano and theory in East Malvern, having been a pupil of Mr. Harold Smith of the University Conservatorium. This is a photograph of social and historic significance, being part of a sub-collection of material that provides a snapshot of the type of individuals involved in the Ladies Harbour Lights Guild and the activities carried out by that organisation. The image is also significant as it fleshes out our knowledge of Olive Duncan's life as a lady active in the LHLG.Quarter of an A4 page of white paper advertising piano and theory lessons given by Miss Olive Duncan L.T.C.L. Captured German Postcard illustrating FRICOURT CHATEAU, in ruins. Bob and Harold worked together in 2nd DIV HQ, in the château's basement for several months, late 1916. Then, on a warm night in August 1918, Harold was mortally wounded (gassed) near here, in Fricourt Woods. The photo of German troops at Fricourt Château was apparently discovered in the château after it was retaken and occupied by the Australian 2nd Division. The German photo of troops armed with their stick grenades was possibly also collected by Bob at Fricourt Château

Pastel Drawing Book
The drawing book was owned by Harold Frederick Allan Trezise (1917-82) of Grade "F" at Myrtleford State ("Central") School in 1929. Allan, as he was known, was one of nine siblings born to Harold and Mary Trezise and aged 12 years when he did his pastel drawings. He was a member of a well-known local family; his father operated a local taxi and motor repairs business and indulged in gold prospecting. The pastel drawing book clearly illustrates the capabilities of a young pupil with an artistic-creative bent and reflects on the teaching methodology used in this curriculum area at the local school. A pride of workmanship is conveyed in the well-preserved leaves of the book.A grey-covered rectangular shaped booklet containing pages separated by tissue paper, all pages completed with shaded depictions of fruit, vegetables, geometric shapes, etc. Each page is dated the day the drawings were completed. pastel drawing book. -
