One of fifty one photographs originally in a photo album found in the National Wool Museum’s office. The album was water damaged and the images were removed for conservation. The images follow the process of wool. Beginning in a sheep paddock and finishing as a folded fabric. The wallet and photos, postcards were owned by Jack Grinton No 1043, 38th Batt AIF. A small piece of shrapnel (1278.2) passed through the wallet and damaged all the 22 cards, photos. The bicycle is one of the last bicycles hand made and assembled by 'Mr. Rob' c1960 prior to the mass manufacture and overseas imports of 'built up' bicycles. On closing down in September 1999 'Mr Rob' presented this bicycle to the Nunawading Historical and another to the Victorian Museum.Boy's 26 inch bicycle fitted with Dunlop tyres, bell, mudguards, handgrips, leather seat, rear reflector and a ' faboati' coaster hub. The Northern District School of Nursing opened in 1950 to address the issues around nurse recruitment, training and education that had previously been hospital based. The residential school was to provide theoretical and in-house education and practical training over three years. The students would also receive practical hands-on training in the wards of associated hospitals. The Northern District School of Nursing operated from Lister House, Rowan Street, Bendigo.
