Rev. E. H. Chapple (1866 - 1956) was educated at the University of Melbourne, and was ordained a Wesleyan minister. He was admitted Presbyterian in 1904. Matte, black and white 3/4 studio portrait of Rev. Edward Henry Chapple who is standing and looking directly at the camera. He is dressed in an academic gown over his clerical suit and collar and is holding a rolled document in his left had. The photograph has a grey which has a gold border and a black and gold script inscription. Rev Peter Gador-Whyte's first UCA Parish was at Orbost in East Gippsland.This is a local history book useful for research and written by a local.Two copies of a 76 pp book titled Pioneers and Pilgrims a history of the Presbyterian and Methodist Churches in Orbost and East Gippsland. Gertrude Perry was born in California Gully in 1917. Her singing skills were recognized at an early age. She later sang with local choirs and sang on radio. She was involved with the Bendigo Operatic Society for many years. Gertrude began her working life in sales. After studying book keeping she worked at the Bendigo Ordnance Factory during WW2 and then worked for local solicitors and accountants. A large thick, heavy green hardcover Girl's Own Annual Volume 46 with a large square picture depicting two women walking in the snow holding bunches of holly. The title is in red print and there is holly surrounding the illustration. The spine has the title printed in gold lettering, holly leaves and Vol 46 in black type at the bottom. It is a 1924 edition of this series. The end papers show green tinted woods and a stream. The coloured frontispiece is of a woman decorating a Christmas Tree from the story - The Christmas Fairy. Tissue paper protects this page. The contents of the book are for girls and women with stories, knitting and sewing patterns, handy home hints, factual information and more. Joseph Ringland Anderson was born in Killylea, Ulster, Ireland in March 1854. At the age of 18 he joined the Presbyterian Church at Killylea by profession of faith. He studied at Queen's College, Galway, and graduated M.A. He then studied Theology at the General Assembly's Theological Hall, Belfast. In 1881 he decided to emigrate to Australia, and completed his theological education at Ormond College, Melbourne. He was ordained in 1882 and inducted into the Presbyterian Church at Penshurst, Victoria. While at Penshurst he married Annie Love Elder. He was called to Lilydale in 1893, to Beechworth in 1902, to North Carlton in 1907 and 1913, was inducted into the Kew Presbyterian Church. Retired and demitted 1926.
