In 1913 Edgar Dower took a photograph from this spot on Ridge Road that became known as Point Clear showing the Mt Dandenong township behind a stand of tall, dead trees. These nine photographs were taken at a Commanding Officer Handover Parade at the Army Survey Regiment, Bendigo on the 28th of July 1975. A march past took place after the parade, with each squadron marching down the roadway past Fortuna Villa to salute the outgoing CO LTCOL Donald Ridge, as he stood on the steps at the front of the building. LTCOL Donald Ridge was the CO of Army Headquarters Survey Regiment from 1972 to 1973 and continued as the CO of the renamed Army Survey Regiment from 1974 to 1975. He handed over to LTCOL Peter Constantine AM, who commanded the unit from 1975 to 1976. This is a set of nine photographs of a Commanding Officer Handover Parade at the Army Survey Regiment, Bendigo on the 28th of July 1975. This object relates to Albury NEAL. He was born on 1/01/1893 in Ballarat, VIC. Albury served in the AIF (1885) enlisting on, 26/02/1916 in Ballarat, VIC before being discharged from duties with the 39 BATTN as a Army Non-Commissioned Private (PTE) on 11/03/1919. His next of kin is Albury NEAL. Gladys Neal was awarded the Australia Service Medal 1939-1946 and War Medal 1939-1945. Book produced by the Science Museum provides a brief history of the cable tram system, with photos. Includes details of the engine houses, the cable, the grip mechanism, the ticket bell punch, and why "Mind the Curve". Has a list of acknowledgments. Published shortly after or at the time of the launch of the tram in the enclosure in Russell St. The additional sheet with the book provides details for each route of route, the location of the city terminus, suburban terminus, running time, night light, route length, first and last car for each day of the week. One of a series of photographs and documents donated by Jean Woollard relating to her father, Wilfred Charles Woollard, (and to herself). Wilfred Charles Woollard (1892-1971) was the grandson of William Woollard (1834-1923) and Charlotte Woollard, nee Lott (1828-1902), early settlers in Kew. Wilfred's father and mother were Walter Herbert Woollard (1856-19) and Rosa Anna Woollard, nee Morgan, (1859-1936). Wilfred Woollard's siblings were Walter James Woollard (1882- ), and Arthur Reginald Woollard (1888-1973).Black and white photograph mounted on card of workers at Richardson's Glass.
