Charles "Tug" Wilson was born 20th December 1894 in Stonehouse, Devon. He served in the Royal Navy from 1914 to 1919 on the HMS Vivid, HMS Europa, HMAS Platypus, HMS Apollo and HMAS Powerful. The front of the note has a picture of Queen Elizabeth 2nd, the Australian Coat of Arms and 'One Pound' stamped on it.
