Hat was issued to the decommissioning crew of the HMAS Bendigo. Bendigo 2 was a Fremantle Class Patrol Boat built in 1983 and decommissioned in Cairns on 9th Sept 2006. The homestead in the image is 'Cumberland' which was sited along the Moonee Ponds Creek, near Gellibrand Hill. It was built by Donald Coghill, who acquired the land some time in the 1850s. During the first half of the twentieth century it was uninhabited until it was finally demolished.'Cumberland' was one of a number of homesteads that were built by European settlers in the Bulla area in the 1850s. Herring Cart (haringkarretje)
Souvenir, home made with jigsaw, celebrating Dutch national delicacy. These carts are seen in streets and markets throughout the Netherlands during herring season.Balsa wood model of a herring cart with 2 spoked wheels. Main body has two compartments covered with circular lids, surmounted by rack holding 3 herring barrels in the Dutch national colours of red ,white and blue. At top of rack a fish-shaped advertising salt and sour herrings. Main body also has a support at both ends and a handle for pushing the cart. At other end is preparation area with a hole for discarding fish waste into the bucket which is hanging below. A checked tea towel hangs off the preparation area. Next to the cart is white pot with a lid possibly for holding chopped onions. -

Photographs taken at the time of the purchase by Western Mining Corporation of the property owned by G.P. Daly of Raywood Road, Woodvale, in 1986. The intent of the purchase was to provide land for the Woodvale ponds. Land size was 16 acres, known as Allotment 13, Section 3, Parish of Nerring. Paper with two colour photographs attached, each of three photos joined to show landscape view, of the property purchased from G.P Daly by Western Mining Corporation.
