This is a tall, varnished 'Roll of Honour' . Brown varnish. The top has a small gable under which is the title "ST. JOHNS CHURCH OF ENGLAND" done in gold paint. The two sides are made of a hardwood with two slots routed out of them. The bottom has a small ledge of hardwood. Under the ledge are three curved end pieces. The name section is made from plywood. This is a broad wooden Roll of Honour. At the top, there is an outwards curving section. Across the front of that are the words:- " 1939 PRO DED ET PATRIA 1945" . In the centre of the phrase is a metal Army badge of the type in use from Bendigo's 5th Battalion backwards. It is about 7 cms wide. In the centre section is varnished plywood. There are four columns of names painted in gold. The phrase - "EPSOM DISTRICT HONOR ROLL" is painted above the names. There are 45 names. One is shown as dead. One has a DFC. This is a large hardwood honour board. The top edge is curved, under which is the title. Under the title is a painted, coloured Australian Coat of Arms. Kangaroo and Emu. Under that is a shelf. Under that are the words "Roll of Honor". The main part has names. There are two columns, divided by a vertical piece of hardwood. All the wording is in gold paint. At the bottom is a small ledge, under that is the legend to understand the symbols. The names are on varnished plywood. The left column has 20 names. The right column has 15 names. This is possibly 54610 Potter - Thomas RAAF, enlisted 27.4.1942 age 44. Discharged 22.3.1946 with the rank of Cpl in Air Defence HQ Townsville.Large Certificate on cream colour paper. On the front cover is painted a picture of Mt. Fuji, a Japanese village, a bridge and a small building on land, a tree and an archway. Colours are white, gold, red and mauve. It also has a very fine layer of reflective material - possible pearl shell. Inside are a large quantity of Aust soldiers in Japan - postwar. There are tourist type photos as well. Order of Australia Medal.This is full scale replica of an OAM It has a circular blue enamel ring in the centre. The word "Australia" is in the blue ring. The large gold section has a large quantity of replica gems. The top of the gold medal is a crown set with red and white enamel. A ring is above the crown. Attached to the ring is a brass loop 30mm long. Through the loop is a small piece of blue ribbon with gold wattle flowers printed on it.
