P. S. Rodney , owned by Permewan Wright, was used to transport non Union strikebreaking shearers to the Darling River sheep stations , during the later 19th century. Union shearers burnt it to the waterline. This shows the remains of the P. S. Rodney.This photograph is very significant as it was one of the events of the Australian shearers' strike of 1891-1894. The Kew Historical Society's postcard collection includes views of Kew, Melbourne and Greater Melbourne as well as those including overseas scenes sent or received from Europe or the Middle East.
