This vehicle was owned and operated by Rural Ambulance Victoria. It was first used by the Snowy Mountain Hydro-Electric Authority as an ambulance, and was stationed at Adaminaby. Used to rain ambulance staff in the detection and management of patient heart rhythms. Simulator was hooked up to operational monitor defribulator and operated so that the monitor defribulator simulated patient rhythms of different types. This particular unit was used at Frankston South and by the Metropolitan Ambulance Service Regional Training Unit. No 1 Troop C Squadron 20th Light Horse Regiment drawn from the farming community of Tocumwal, personified the strength of citizen soldiering in rural Victorian and Southern NSW in the period following World War One and especially in the years immediately prior to the second World War. Building on the strength and enthusiasm of the Tocumwal Troop other Troops were raised at Finley, Berigan and Jerilderie. The Tocumwal Troop won the coveted Hutton Trophy in 1937 and 1938, defeating crack Troops from other States.
