Audio - Recording, tape, Rt. Hon. John. G. Gorton C.H., M.P
The tape has not been played but from the label it is presumed to be a recording of John Gorton to launch Legacy week. For many years the main time of year for fundraising is September when Legacy holds 'Legacy Week'. Often there is a celebrity who would launch the appeal so presumably John Gorton recorded a message. John Gorton flew for the RAAF in World War 11, and was Prime Minister of Australia.A record that celebrities were part of the Legacy Appeals in the 1970s.Black magnetic tape on a clear plastic spool in a red cardboard box.Box, RCA, Magnetic Tape, For your recorder, Extra strength, Professional standard, Splice free, 600Ft. 1.5 mil polyester 5" reel, type 15M-6, 1.5 mil polyester, RCA type 1.5m-6.
