Planning consultants - Wolinski Planners Pty. Ltd., were commissioned by Ministry for Planning and Environment, City of Ringwood and the Ministry of Transport in 1986 to prepare and exhibit the plan for public comment. After consideration of responses, the Working Group will make recommendations to the Council and Ministers subject to hearings of any formal submissions.

Two newspaper articles, re the fight to save tree near Ringwood Timber on Maroondah Highway, late 1950s. The Yellow Box tree was located west of Ringwood timber, outside Bill Patterson's Motors near the New Street intersection. The fight was led by Cr Ben Hubbard, the secretary of the Ringwood Horticultural Society, Mr Kearsley, but was eventually lost. The articles are from The Herald and dated December 1957 and 11th June 1959.

Newspaper articles detailing the gift of 17 acres of land south end of New Street, by Frank Pike of Heatherdale Road, for parkland. The new park will be called Pomona Park. It was later called Proclamation Park, used for athletics, baseball and cricket.

Two catalogues of goods to sell, from Ringwood Timber & TradingEditorial of 15201b includes a short history of the company. In 1937, Mr S Coopersmith and son, Frank (the present Managing Director) started a fruit case manufacturing business in North Melbourne under the name of The Cooper Case Co. As the area contains an array of indigenous flora, the area has recently been listed a "Significent Roadside Area". The listing was the result of a vegetation suvey by council. Ken McInness, convenor of the Friends of Mullum Mullum Valley was angered by this happening, but the Council's manager of Engineering Services, John Trevorah, said the tree had been earmarked for removal at the start of the project.The President of the Ringwood Bowling Club, Maurice Boyd, said it was "an extremely dirty gum tree and that he'd asked the council to remove it. No permit was required.
