Three press clippings about guest speakers at Legacy luncheons in 1977. Bill Fordyce was the only Australian survivor of the Great Escape from Stalag Luft III, a POW camp in Poland in World War 2. Also Professor Lance Townsend speaking on the salaries of doctors, and Mr Johnson, secretary of the Melbourne Cricket Club speaking about cricket. The items were cut from the newspaper and pasted into a scrapbook. For many years Legacy kept scrapbooks of press clippings that related to their work and publicity. July 2010 annual luncheon of 25 Year Member Association of Yacht Squadron, organised by Past Commodore, Harry Leggett. Old used Squadron Burgee signed by many present including longest serving member at time, Bill O'Day (1939) and Bert Ferris (1943). In recognition of the support of the VATC President Sullivan presented a plaque to VATC Acting chairman Mr Geoff Bellmaine at a Tuesday luncheon. VATC is the Victorian Amateur Racing Club. Houghton in Princess Street Kew was an early Victorian cottage at one stage owned by a relative of the Beath family in nearby Ivy Grange. Their is a chapter on Houghton in Rogers, Dorothy (1961) Lovely Old Homes of Kew. A legatee function in Legacy House with Bruce Ruxton as a guest speaker. It is assumed to be 1991 as Legatee John Sullivan appears to be presenting a plaque to Mr Ruxton. L/ Sullivan was president in 1991. The plaque signifies that Mr Ruxton was made 'Guest of Honour' which is the highest accolade awarded to guests.
