Ballarat Grammar’s 23 acre site facing Forest and Howitt Streets, Wendouree was chosen carefully by the Committee set up by the Church Assembly (Synod) in November 1908. Classes began for the 38 boys enrolled on 14 February 1911. The first building accommodated 90 day boys and 25 boarders. It comprised the Headmaster’s residence, three classrooms, one large dormitory, a small bathroom, two cubicles for assistant masters and the matron’s room. During the first year the property was fenced, trees and cypress hedges were planted, a carriage drive was constructed and work commenced for the School Cricket Oval. Three Noopsi Badges celebrating 100 years of Anglican education at Ballarat & Queens Anglican Grammar School. These are beaded badges in blue, yellow and brown with "100" in yellow, mounted on a safety pin. St. Mary's Anglican Church at Bulla was originally built on the outskirts of Bulla township in 1858. In the early 1970s it was moved to its present site to make way for the flight path at the newly constructed Tullamarine Airport. The former site was on the corner of Oaklands and Sunbury Roads and is covered with vegetation. The church was designed by Thomas Taylor.A profile view of the west side of St. Mary's Anglican Church at Bulla and the garden area around the church. St Martin's Anglican Church was built in 1889. Victoria Hall was built for E. Miles in 1884. The post card is part of a series taken c. 1907.Copy of a coloured (hand coloured?) post card showing St Martin's Anglican Church, Armstrong St, Charlton. The church is a yellow, timber building with a cross at each end of the roof. A white picket fence runs along the front of the church. There are three trees on the edge of the road in front of the church. There is a large single storey red brick building to the right of the church with a verandah over the footpath. A horse is coming down the road past the red brick building. The post card has Armstrong Street Charlton in the top right. The Original St Martins Anglican Church and Hall, Belgrave South and Belgrave Heights are two buildings originally part of the Anglican Diocese of Belgrave but now under the care of the Southern Sherbrooke Historical Society and utilised as their premises.
