Rev. Farquhar Chisholm (1878 - 1953), Presbyterian minister, was born in Inverness, Scotland and ordained in 1908 in Kerang. He was a minister in country Victoria and Ballarat and was chaplain of Scotch College from 1919 - 1926. Farquhar Chisholm organised the building funds for Morongo Presbyterian Ladies' College Geelong and the Freemasons' Hospital and was a past grand chaplain of the Masonic Grand Lodge.Matte, black and white studio head and shoulders portrait of Rev. He graduated with a B.A. from Ormond College in 1888. He entered the Methodist ministry and worked in Burwood and at the Omeo Home Mission. During 1892 he toured Europe and the Middle East with Rev Bickford. In 1898 Holden was an army chaplain and served South Africa. He became Methodist Chaplain General in 1913. In 1904 Holden became Secretary of Methodist Home Missions and traveled throughout Australia. Holden was General Superintendent of the Methodist Church of Australasia from 1929 - 1932 and then President- General. Holden became a Freemason in 1898. Cream booklet titled Jubilee Souvenir Zenith Lodge Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Victoria. 1866 - 1916. No 1133 - No 52. Title is inside an embossed oval rope tied at each side. Various embossed symbols surround the oval rope. A blue cord is sewn to hold the pages together with a staple. A Roll of Honour is printed inside the front cover under two flags, a Union Jack and another one like the Australian flag but the blue behind the Southern Cross is red. The wallet is inscribed Bro J.C. Reynolds who was Initiated into freemasonry on 8 July 1880, passed to the Second Degree 5 August 1880 and Raised to the Third Degree 2nd. September 1880. Annotated ' Mount Franklin Lodge of Hiram. 716. E.C.. In 1889 this Lodge became No. 12 Victorian Const.' (E.C. denotes English Constitution.) Mt Franklin Lodge of Hiram amalgamated with St George Lodge no. 119 to be Mt Franklin St George Lodge No 12.Masonic regalia was often carried in these wallets to lodge meetings. Mt Franklin Lodge of Hiram amalgamated with St George Lodge no. 119 to be Mt Franklin St George Lodge No 12. The wallet was donated by the Hon.
