Has a strong association with the ESCo shed staff and later tram crews, c1910? Shows the nature of the clothing worn by the depot staff, and one of the crew and the interior detail of the one of the tramcars at the time. Provides details of names of some of the men photographed.Black and White copy photograph of the ESCo power station and tramway staff outside the front of the ESCo Power Station, View Point, Wendouree Parade, Ballarat c1915. Standing on the ground are 26 men and on the tower truck a further 14 men. Shows details of the clothing the men were wearing at the time, depending on the age and company position, details of the horse drawn tower truck, and of the power station and office brickwork. Valentines Series Postcard, No. 3308 of "View Point", Bendigo, Charing Cross with the fountain prominent in the photograph. No. 16 (left hand side) is bound for Golden Square and No. 13, to Quarry Hill. Late 1930's? In the background, The Beehive stores, A.E. Sayer Chemist, J. Edwards Jeweller and watchmaker with a large clock on the top of the shop, Matthews Bros - suits and men's clothes and Wrights Stores - tobacco and spirits. Also advertisements for Dunlop and Goodyear tyres. On rear of card is Valentines real photo series logo and that published in Melbourne and Sydney. Copy of a colour slide showing Tram 17 in Lydiard Street North, at the terminus. This photo is taken from further north than 6013. From the direction of the trolley pole it is preparing to head back into the city, however the destination board is reading View Point.. One of the crew can be seen standing near a fence in the background, with a point bar in his hand. Several homes and motor cars can be seen. The photographer says this was taken on the last day of trams in Lydiard Street in 1971.
