Cropped photograph of male Iredale. In 1858, James Iredale owned the General Store in Main Street Greensborough, when it became the Town’s Post Office. The Farmers Arms Hotel was built on the corner of Main and Hailes Street in 1864 by George Iredale to cater for the ever increasing number of wood carters and other hauliers carting their wares between Melbourne, timber mills and the gold fields. George Edwin Willis Grimshaw Maygar [1858-1915] was the son of Edwin and Helen. The Maygar family came to Greensborough circa 1841 from Somerset England. They were of Hungarian descent. George (Sarge) Westcott (born 1859) was the son of Charity Pink Medhurst and second husband George Charles Westcott. After Charity's death father George raised his son George and her son David Medhurst (born 1855).
