Historical information

George (Sarge) Westcott (born 1859) was the son of Charity Pink Medhurst and second husband George Charles Westcott. After Charity's death father George raised his son George and her son David Medhurst (born 1855). Sarge Westcott was awarded a police valour medal after saving a colleague in the line of duty.

Significance

Connection to the Medhurst family of Greensborough.
