In 2015 The Royal Australian Mint a series of 50 cent coins to commemorate the 100 years of ANZAC. This is one honouring the role of the nurses who served. It features the stained glass window from the Hall of Memory at the Australian War Memorial that as the image of nurse. It has the Legacy logo on the reverse of the card. The coin has the image of nurse attending to a wounded man with poppies and the word 'Devoted' around the outside. Text says 'Amid the squalor of trench warfare, Australian Army nurses were synonymous with duty and care - even risking their lives for their patients. The Devotion window shows a nurse, with the Red Cross as the symbol of charity.' Donated to Legacy by the family of Priscila Wardle after part of her diary was found in the archive and reunited with the family in 2021.A record that the Royal Mint and Legacy honoured the work of First World War nurses.An uncirculated Australian 50 cent coin in a protective pack.nurses, world war one

Murray Comrie Collection. The Memorial was first unveiled at a Thanksgiving Service in 1918. It now commemorates Tarnagulla residents who served in WWI and WWII. This stone monument was created and erected by Mr. Barber of Dunolly in October 1919. It was unveiled by Brigadier General Brand C.B. C.M.G. D.S.O. at 2:30pm on Saturday November 8th, 1919. The Welcome Home Committee, formed 2nd July 1917, was largely responsible for commissioning the monument. Foundation members were Mrs. B. Patterson, Mrs J. Bock and the Misses P. Lemin, Violet Radnell, D. Dyer and Doris and Phoebe Bock. The Committee also arranged 'Welcome Home' functions for each local soldier returning home after service in the First World War. Tarnagulla had a very large number of enlistments for its population. Angus M. Comrie is standing to the right of the Memorial with his daughter Mavis Comrie, and Nell Alexander. Mavis Comrie presented a new Union Jack flag to the Tarnagulla School on 25th July 1919 to commemorate Peace. Peace Medals were also distributed to the school students. Murray Comrie Collection. This photograph is a reasonable copy created from an older original. Tarnagulla was famous from the early days for its philharmonic choirs, often under the auspices of the Wesleyan Church and frequently in conjunction with the other churches. This photograph illustrates part of the interior of the Wesleyan Church, and the large choir is performing a classical cantata for the Wesleyan Sunday School celebrations. The older gentleman near the centre of the photograph is Wesleyan Sunday School stalwart and Tarnagulla Town Clerk, HC Bristol. The two memorial plaques on the rear wall are for Tarnagulla pioneers David Hatt (left) and Jonathan Falder. This photograph shows the Protestant Hall on Nepean Highway Cheltenham, which at the time of the photograph was used by the Returned Sailors' Soldiers' and Aimen's Imperial Leage of Australia (RSSAILA). The building facade, World War I memorials, fire station building and road plantation are also in view. The Protestants Hall was built by the Cheltenham Protestant Hall Company Limited in 1886. The hall has been used for a wide variety of purposes; in earlier times it served as the Sunday School for the Methodist Home for Children, and later as a schoolhouse when the Beaumaris School (now Cheltenham State School) No 84 met with overcrowding problems. It was also a popular venue for annual balls and regular dances held by church groups and sporting organisations. The City of Moorabbin purchased the building in the 1920's for use by the Returned Soldiers and Sailors League, in whose hands it remained until the late 1970s when it was taken over by a catering firm. During the 1920s, and right up to the late 1950s, it also served as Cheltenham's picture theatre. The three memorial columns, one from the South African War, one from World War I and one from World War II previously located in front of the hall were relocated when Nepean Highway was widened.
