Medicine came in bottles bought at the local chemist or at a large city chemist on a shopping expedition. The shape and contents changed as did the stopper used to seal it. Orbost & District Historical Society
leather case, c. 1900 - 1950s
This case and its contents are believed to have been owned and used by a jockey who rode in the Orbost area. It contained a set of stirrups, two sets of spurs, and two leather jockey leggings.Horse racing as a sport and recreational activity were once part of Orbost's history.A brown leather case, rectangular in shape, a leather handle, with a metal plate on the lid, and leather loops through which straps could be threaded to surround the case. Beechworth Honey Archive

This was used with an ink-stamp pad. It was stamped onto plain cardboard boxed, to show that the contents were the property of Beechworth Honey.
