These glasses were distributed to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the proclamation of the Shire of Diamond Valley. The Shire of Diamond Valley was a Local Government Area located about 20 kilometres northeast of Melbourne. The shire covered an area of 74.38 square kilometres and existed from 1964 until 1994. A limited edition glass presented to community volunteers and others associated with the Shire of Diamond Valley.Pair of clear glass, stemmed wine glasses. AGL took over the operation of the Kiewa Hydro Electric Scheme and constructed the 'Bogong Power Development Project. This involved the construction of a new underground Hydro Electric Power Station on AGL Hydro's Junction Dam regulating pondage near Bogong village in Vctoria's High country. Construction commenced in 2007 and was completed by the end of 2009The Bogong Power Development Project was important to Victoria as hydro power was environmentally friendly. Printed with the Head of Queen Elizabeth II as a watermark, Hotel name overlain by the menu in red, with the name of the event at the top and two images of tram 38 in Wendouree Parade by a tram stop in both left and right hand corners. Printed using a colour bubble jet printer on plain A4 paper. Three copies held. Prepared by Neil Robe - dinner organiser. 1964.2 - A5 sheet photocopied with a Ballarat Tramway Museum 10cent ticket (A163000) blown up to fill the sheet and on the back - handwritten and photocopied - "Available for a complimentary ride on Sunday 16th September - remembering 30 years - S.E.C. Water scheme opened April 1964 with the trust being created by the Governor in Council. It consisted of 3 councillors from Axedale and 3 members appointed by the Minister of Water Supply.A grey exercise book containing newspaper cuttings relating to the progress of getting the water supply to Axedale. Also included are notice of meetings of the Axedale Waterworks Trust with financial statements for 1963 and 1964. A letter dated 2nd March 1964 addressed to Mr. J. Ellison from L.G. Houston (Private secretary to the Minister of water supply W.J Mibus) is also in the book.
