Braco Park Guest House was owned by the aunts of Sir Keith Murdoch, Eliza and Grace. It became a Red Cross convalescent Home for nurses in 1918.It was sold to Mrs. Techow and renamed "Clovelly" in 1920. It had been the Murdoch sisters' guest house, Braco Park, that originally introduced Prime Minister Billy Hughes to the hills. Walter Murdoch's nephew Keith Murdoch, a young parliamentary reporter for the Age, took Hughes and several other politicians up there before the war. Keith's father had been a friend of the previous PM, Andrew Fisher. Keith Murdoch was sent to London as a reporter in 1915, and developed an influential relationship with Hughes who bought a small farm in Sassafras, and ran some of the business of government there during the war and after. Acquired by The Education Department about 1985, the Sherbrooke Community School was built, with the Clovelly house being stripped back to its frame and renovated to form the main building of the school. Clovelly Guest House was formerly Braco Park Guest House, owned and run by Eliza and Grace Murdoch. The original Guest House 'Clovelly' , owned by Mrs. Techow, was situated in The Crescent at Sassafras. After it burned down in 1921, Mrs. Techow purchased Braco Park and renamed it Clovelly. The site was purchased by the Education Department c1985 and is now Sherbrooke Community School. Belgrave Railway Bridge seen from near railway line on the east side. Photo shows the bridge over a scrubby railway cutting. There are small trees. A truck is parked on the right side of the bridge and perpendicular to the bridge. To the right is a building, presumably US Motors. A sign visible on right end of the bridge is also visible on VSSHP0069.02.

Belgrave railway bridge looking towards Bayview Road from Terrys Ave, 1947. It shows a bus crossing the bridge onto (now) Belgrave-Gembrook Road, followed by a male cyclist wearing a dark overcoat and bowler hat. A man wearing a homburg hat is crossing the footbridge beside the main bridge towards the main street. There is a pale van parked (or driving past) a dairy on the corner of Bayview Rd and Belgrave-Gembrook Road. A brick toilet block is shown with a sign saying 'MEN' on a nearby lamp post.

Photos of Mt Heatherly, an historical building in Belgrave, opposite Belgrave Lake Park. Address is Park Drive, on the corner of Waratah Ave. The house is now owned by Mrs Elizabeth Schneider, and was first constructed around 1881 by the first owner of the selection, Ormond Smith. It was made of hand-made bricks made on site, and a foundation of rock and stone. The original house may have had a corrugated iron roof. The original house forms part of the modern house. Photos taken in early 2000s by Susan Heywood-Downard.

Black and White photograph shows a group of seven senior scouts unloading wooden crates of fresh produce from the flat bed of a truck. Another truck is parked behind also stacked with crates. On the door is written 'W. F. Montague/ Narre Warren Nth/ 251 on the lower frame of the photo is 'Beaver Photographic'.

Photograph of the railway line to Gembrook and the water tank at Menzies Creek in the centre of the picture. This area, known as The Tanks, is the site of the landslide that closed the railway down in 1953. Glen Park homestead is on top of the hill on the left.
