Aircraft Gyro Horizon Indicator made by Sperry Gyroscope Co., in 1945. A gyro horizon or artificial horizon is an instrument used in an aircraft to inform the pilot of the orientation of the aircraft relative to Earth's horizon. The register documents twenty-one weddings that took place in the Mission to Seamen's church district between the 22nd of June, 1945 to the 1st of December 1962. Each certificate is a record of all the information needed to legalise a marriage under Commonwealth law, such as names, dates of birth, marital status, parents and employment.
