Used to revise fares, parcel and luggage and charter rates in for Bendigo and Ballarat from 1/3/1963. Page 1 gives a list of amendments by date to the original by-law of 9/3/1937. Defines Pensioners and Child fares. Booklet dated January 1962, SEC Sealed the document 18/1/1962, Governor-In-Council approval granted 15/1/1963 and came into force 1/3/1963. Six copies held. Produced by the North Sydney Boys High School Railway club, prior to the closure of the Ballarat system - little else written and published at the time about the history and details of the system. A very good booklet for the time - produced entirely by the wax cut stencil process. Has a strong association with the people who prepared the document.Twenty page booklet on the history, operation and tramcars of Ballarat, produced by the Nth Sydney Boys High School Railway Club in July 1971. Printed on a wax cut stencil process, with green covers, drawings, maps, track layout, fleet list, gives tentative closure dates, route descriptions, sketches, stapled on edge. Yields information about fares charged for tram services in Ballarat, Bendigo and Geelong. Issued to crews.Small book with 32 pages, 27 printed on, with green cloth hard covers, sewn into cover. On front cover, printed in white ink is SECV name, logo, words, "Provincial Tramways", "Instructions for Tramway Traffic Inspectors", "Issued 1951", and a note that the book remains the property of the SEC. "The Hermitage" was built by photographer John William Lindt as a home and guesthouse in 1894. John Lindt had previously photographed the mountain scenery of the Black Spur and purchased 71 acres and subseqently built his home and guesthouse from where he continued his career. "The Hermitage had a garden designed by John Lindt's friend, Ferdinand von Mueller, who was at one stage the Director of the Melbourne Botanic Gardens. The garden featured New Guinea tree houses from which John Lindt made frequent panoramas of his property and the surrounding forest of towering mountain ash. Aged 81 Lindt died of heart failure during disastrous bushfires on 19 February 1926 at the Hermitage.
