Sheet steel folded to give a top & bottom strengthening. With SEC green paint on back, yellow painted face & lettered PAY AS YOU ENTER in black paint. Used on each tram to indicate to boarding passengers, to pay the motorman as they entered the tram. If not in use was turned to face away from boarding passengers. Ballarat trams fitted with wooden slides on either side of drivers windows, so that they could face the respective open door. Also use by the BTM for similar purposes. Galvanised sheet steel with top & bottom holes(central) & side mounting brackets & rounded corners. Painted with black base and white letters and lines used to indicate which depot track(Line) trams were to be parked or stabled on when returning to the depot. Depot had four under cover tracks (1 to 4) and one outside track ("0") road. Lettered as shown on the sketch on the original worksheet. Reg. Sheet aluminium sign, red metal primer on rear of, off white painted on front, with red and black painted with this sheet steel(?) attachments, riveted to aluminium and folded so that a sheet of paper or prepared numbers could be slipped in. Used to indicate cash shortages of Conductors for the last week and lowest week for the year. $ sign in block paint, otherwise in red paint. Appears to have been set up for decimal currency. Yields information about the form used in Ballarat and Bendigo by the SEC to enabling ticket checking by Inspectors on the trams.Single sheet of paper titled "Supplementary Trip Way Bill", form No. TYE 1-580, for filling in ticket starting numbers, for tickets from 2d (City Section) through to 1/- value. Also allows for parcel tickets, tram no, trip, route, inspector and punch marks. Has line for filling in date and signature at base of ticket. Used in early 1960's. Ticket wallet with a set of four 1970's Ballarat tram tickets set up to represent part of a typical conductor's set of tickets by the BTM for display purposes.. 74.1 - Sheet of leather, approx. 2mm thick, stained brown with four pockets formed on each side with another sheet of leather, stitched on all sides to form pockets to hold eight blocks of tickets.
