Preprinted ticket from a monthly book of tickets, good for one journey during Feb. 1922 only - ticket number 048 on left hand side and 059 and 060 on right hand side. Good for Sections 1 to 4, between St Kilda and Park St. Sheet has been perforated vertically and horizontally. Would appear that these were pre-purchased, torn off horizontally by the passenger, handed to the conductor who would tear it in half (vertically) and return one half to the passenger. Both parts have been stamped "Cancelled VR". See item 7806 for an example of the complete book and reference.Demonstrates a Victorian Railways Rail and Tram monthly ticket for a specific section or trip on the St Kilda Brighton tramway. Newspaper Clipping undated from an unknown newspaper about the operation of a horse tram on the South Melbourne Football ground loop during the Moomba Festival. Noted the tram has been restored in the colours of the Royal Park (Zoo) line. Has a photo of a horse drawn tram with two horses and conductor, and family dressed in either period costume or a reproduction of a very old photograph. On the rear of the Newspaper is an item about people trying to save the horses that pulled the garbage trucks in the City of Port Melbourne. This probably dates the Clipping to the mid 1950's. Gave conduct and ability as "Satisfactory" and reason for leaving "Retrenchment". Issued on 5/8/1971 by Personnel Superintendent. Has D. J. Everett's signature on left hand margin. Item 2488, page 105, SECV - Ballarat Tourist Ticket - 1/- on light weight card, white colour - purchased on 18 May 1938, (date stamped in red on front and back), with Passengers signature "Mr Brown", written in black ink. Has six conductors punches in the right hand margin of the ticket. Has numbers "1" to "31" on bottom section of the ticket. Demonstrates uniform cap manufacture for a SEC Inspector, shows the "braid" worn by inspectors and has a strong association with Theo Dunstan.SEC Inspectors/Conductors cap - black cloth exterior, grey cotton interior lining, brown leather internal hat band, black cotton hat band with gold trimmings, on exterior with a plastic band at the front half of the cap terminating in two small SEC gold coloured metal buttons on either side, black plastic peak. Fitted with and "Inspector" cap badge - brass, has been polished with Brasso remains on interior of letters. Received from donor as three individual items - reassembled.
