In particular houses in Bridge Street between Williamstown Road and Derham Street, buildings between the right of way and Derham Street and Williamstown Road including an A T Harmon building constructed in 1911. George Harrie (or Henry) Charles Trengrove was born in Ballarat in 1862. He became a teacher and was Head Teacher at Happy Valley school between 1900 and 1909. During this time he was Drum Major for the Linton Brass Band. The photograph shows him in military uniform but it is not known which of the colonial military units he served in.
