Historical information
The photograph shows Prahran and Malvern Tramways Trust tram 26 in Glenferrie Rd on route 1, possibly just south of the tram depot. The tramcar is in the mid ground and Glenferrie Rd is lined with retail shop verandahs on the ground floor and ornate second floor residences or workshops. Central poles hold the tramway overhead and several horse drawn carts are seen along the roadway.
