The photograph shows Prahran and Malvern Tramways Trust tram 26 in Glenferrie Road at Edsall St. Tram is showing destination St Kida Rd. Route 1, possibly returning to Malvern Tram Depot further along Glenferrie Road. Richards Brothers Grocers is on the left of the photo. The street is lined with retail shop verandahs on the ground floor and ornate second floor residences or workshops. Central poles hold the tramway overhead and several horse drawn carts are seen along the roadway. A single truck California combination car can be seen turning into Wattletree Road.
