In the Second World War the Female Relatives badge was issued to the nearest female relative of members of the RAN, the AIF, including members of the Australian Army Nursing Service and the RAAF on active service abroad. Stars displayed on a bar suspended below the badge represented the number of relatives involved in the War effort.The badge on display was issued to Nora Marjorie Fielding, whose husband VX79262 Pte Donald Fielding, served with Army Headquarters Signals Regiment in WW2.A badge with a safety chain and pin attached, long pin on back for wearing. Friedrich Herbig left Germany in 1855 and later that year arrived in South Australia. He went to work on a farm and made his home in a large hollowed-out base of a river redgum tree. In 1858 Friedrich married Caroline Rattey and they lived together in the tree. They had sixteen children. This tile has been made into a wall hanging by the attachment of fine wire at top to two of the curled feet.A small Wessel decorative white ceramic tile or trivet with a white porcelain type top depicting a coloured map of the Mosel River and surrounding towns in Germany. There is a twisted thin gold frame around it with rounded feet in the corners.On the front at the top of the tile is written - 'Die Mosel von KOBLENZ bis TRIER'. This medal has been produced in 1953 in Australia to celebrate the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth 11 of England in June 1953. Many commemorative medals such as these were distributed in 1953.
