The tickets are printed State Electricity Commission of Victoria, with ELECTRICITY SUPPLY COMPANY in bold print. The tickets were produced for the Provincial tramways of Ballarat, Bendigo and Geelong. Row 1 of tickets has partitioned sections for Town, Year, Day, Month and Date and are available for one return journey on each route. Row 2 tickets can be nipped for the Town, the date, and a space has been left to hand write the full date. Row 2 tickets also provide a space for the Passenger's signature, and can be used for any route on the given date. The tickets are printed on cream or beige card with dark blue ink used for printing. The tickets are not transferable to another person.Row 1 Ticket 1, the years 1944-1945 and 1946 have been crossed out and replaced with 1947-1948 and 1949, printed over in red ink. ticketDemonstrates a variety of weekly tickets used by the Provincial Tramways.Tramways weekly tickets - 1/6d to 3/- STATE ELECTRICITY COMMISSION OF VICTORIA - Provincial Tramways. On the face, the ticket has space to nip the month, the week number in the month, the transfers and the day. Some of the tickets are individually numbered, others marked with a date stamp. The tickets are printed on various colored lemon, beige or orange colored card, with printing in either black or red ink. On the reverse of the ticket is the wording STATE ELECTRICITY COMMISSION OF VICTORIA - Provincial Tramways, along with the details and conditions of use.Row 1, tickets 2 and 3 have the words Sample only hand written in ink. Ticket 4 has "12 trips 3d section - September 15th 1949" written on the stub edge and Ceased 1.7.51 written on the ticket. Ticket No. 5 has the date 18-3-49 on the stub end. Row 2, Ticket 1 has the words "This section 15.9.49 - 30.6.50. Row 2, tickets 2 and 4, have Sample only written in ink. The ticket details that it is supplied by the ELICTRICITY SUPPLY DEPARTMENT of the State Electricity Commission of Victoria for use on Provincial Tramways. It gives the conditions and terms of use, stating that it is for passengers under the age of 18. It provides a grid on each long edge for trips in and trips out, with the numbers 1 to 31 where the box can be nipped for the day's travel. The ticket is not transferable. On the reverse of the ticket, there is space for the Name of the ticket holder, the date "Available from and To" and the Route covered. Printed on tan colored card, with black print. It notes Restrictions on the time of travel. The reverse gives additional information about the ticket, including the expiry date. There is a space for the ticket-holder's signature. The Hospital travel voucher is printed on white card with black ink. It is issued by the Electricity supply Department for use on Provincial Trams. The ticket is not transferable. This appears to be a sample and shows that the 2d ticket as shown can be altered in value to 3d,4d,5d,6d or 7d. The Pensioner's Fare Concession Certificate has the word "Cancelled" stamped in red ink across both face and back. The Hospital Travel Voucher has "Issued to Base hospitals Ben & Bal who issue to pensioners. Collected by SEC. Charged to Health Dept".
