The tourist finds ample interesting features within easy reach of the many Guest Houses and Hotels. The native Koala Bear is seen in numerous parts of the island, and tourist parties are given the opportunity of visiting the haunts of the Penguin and Seal. Excellent beaches provide good swimming and surfing, and the sportsman finds plenty of scope for his activities. The golf course in San Remo was opened in 1922 and was on the land adjacent to Ocean Grove where Griffiths point lodge and Davis Point road now stand. One hole was placed on the flat land on the beach. There were red flags and the cows used to eat them. Black & White photograph of a group of people with their golf clubs. Noted on back of photo "San Remo Golf Links". A question mark re location as it seems too flat. Maybe it was in Cowes?? A group of twenty-two people seated and standing on the Cowes Jetty, which was built in 1870. Trolleys on iron rail were used to convey goods along the Jetty. Slightly obscured by people is the Jetty Shed, built in 1870 and now classified by National Trust. Beyond water and beach are trees and shrubs.
