Model of HMAS Swan built by Shipwright Charles Axiak. Original ship construction in Melbourne and entered service 1970. Was a River Class Destroyer. Model maker worked in British Dockyards during WW2 and emigrated to Australia in 1955. He worked in Williamstown dockyards involved with construction of the Swan,1. Wooden stand, tailor made to hold the model of the 'Swan'. Brown in colour with long flat board and separate pieces of wood embedded in the base to make the cradle.
