Dark navy blue colour wool fabric, double breasted with six buttons, collar, sleeves with two buttons. one inset breast pocket and two inset pockets with flap. Buttons - gold colour metal with shank, raised emblem and lettering, Kings Crown, Anchor and "AUSTRALIA". Service ribbons above breast pocket - fabric ribbon. Blue and yellow ribbon - Korea Medal. Blue and white ribbon - United Nations Medal for Korea. Black colour cotton sateen lining with white cotton strip sleeve lining.

1. Jumper - part of the Winter Ceremonial Uniform worn by Recruit to Leading Seaman ranks RAN. Also known as a Barathea or Jumper. Black colour wool fabric with square collar, V shaped front opening, long sleeves with cuffs. Two black colour plastic buttons attached at bottom of front V to attach a collar. Navy blue cotton tape (bow). White colour cotton fabric manufacturers label below back collar. 2. Shirt - also known as white flannel. Part of the Summer or Winter Ceremonial uniform worn under a black or white barathea. White colour cotton/polyester fabric - square neck with navy blue colour ribbon trim and short sleeves. White colour cotton shoulder flash with blue "AUSTRALIA" and rank insignia - blue embroidered anchor and foiled rope.

Part of the Cooper Collection. Details of "Keith Cooper's" service 3798359. National Service, served Vietnam 12th Field Regt Light Aid detachment (LAD) 11/3/71 - 30/10/71. Signed into the regular army and served for 25 years. Discharged with the rank of WO.1 class.
Medal ribbon bar consisting of three ribbons attached to an aluminum strip. The rear has two brass clips. Medals represented L-R: Vietnam Medal, Long Service Medal, South Vietnam Campaign Medal.

1. Jacket - green, wool/polyester. 4 Brass buttons on front, two hip pockets, gold Corporal stripes on arms. Buttons are for R.A.C.T. 2. Skirt - Green. It has 30mm belt loops around waist. Pleats at back. Waist held with a button and zip closer. 3. Blouse - Polyester. Two tone green stripes. Long sleeved, cuffs. It has six pearl coloured plastic buttons. 4. Hat peaked - two tone green. Pivoting frontal strap with RACT badge on front. 5. Cravat - matching two tone green stripes.

Administrative record - XMAS STOCKING ROSTER BRSL 1998, C.1998
This yearly effort was conducted from 12.11.1998 - 12.12.1998. At the bottom of each page are details re pick up and delivery of tickets and stocking. The raffle was conducted from 3 different selling points. The names on the roster are a who's who of the RSL at the time, except for two names all the sellers were WW2 era members being a list of President current, ex Presidents, Life members, Committee and notables. The hand written notes were by Jack Barnes OAM. Refer Cat No's 8130P & 8220.

Financial record - XMAS STOCKING TICKETS BRSL 1996, C. 1996
These tickets were sold from 12.11.1996 - 13.12.1996 and drawn on 16.12.1996 with the results in the Bendigo Advertiser on 18.12.1996. The proceeds of this yearly effort was in aid of the Bendigo RSL Patriotic Building Fund. These raffles are believed to have began pre 1950 and ran until 1999. Refer Cat No's 8130P and 8221.
Book of raffle tickets, yellow colour stapled in lots of twenty, tickets are in two sections, tear off for purchaser, and but for drawing the raffle, tickets are 50 cents each, stocking value $250.00, 10,000.00 tickets, these are ticket No's 6741 - 6760

" " 900 - 950, on front, "901 - 950 - --12.27" With no 9 receipt No's 939 onwards are missing, the last date for 1927 is 31.12.27 then start 3.1.28 - 7.1.28, these are for "Subs" membership for 1928. There are two Printers, light blue binding is "Boltons print" and dark blue binding is "F.H. Parkman Printer, Arcade, Bendigo". A large amount of the receipts are for RSL Membership being 10/- (Schillings). There are many receipts to businesses and other groups, to name a few, Hall hire Various amounts, Billiards, Tomato growers, book, Bendigo Trotting Club, South Bendigo Club, Teachers Training College. The figures range from one pound one schilling - six pounds. The phone No for the Bendigo Sub Branch then was a simple "95"
Nine Receipt books, seven have front and rear card covers, two have no front cover, six have readable hand written text on the front, 3 have none, all pages are pink colour, there is a small amount of pages missing over the nine, one has quite a few missing, two have a light blue binding the rest are dark blue.

This set of 30 black and white photographs were taken at the Army Survey Regiment’s parade rehearsal held at the Queen Elizabeth Oval, Bendigo on the 27th of June 1985. The rehearsal was for the Freedom of Entry parade held 1-2 weeks later in 1985. The exact date for the Freedom of Entry parade is not known. The Freedom of Entry to the City of Bendigo was an honour first conferred by the Bendigo City Council to the Army Survey Regiment in 1970. The Freedom of Entry parade in 1985 was the fourth time the unit exercised its right of freedom of entry. The Regiment also exercised its Freedom of Entry with anniversary parades in 1977, 1980 and 1995. Refer to items 6020.8P, 6021.25P, 6248P, 6266, 6409.2 and 6430.39P for more Army Survey Regiment Freedom of Entry photographs, documents and certificates. Document - RENOVATION SPECIFICATIONS BRSL, C. 1962 onwards
These renovations were first discussed by the Bendigo RSL in 1962 - 1963. This Document is headed, “Specifications of Workmanship and Materials required for Painting and Renovations etc, at R.S.S.A.I.L.A Hall, Pall Mall, Bendigo” There are 3 parts to the documents. First section has 22 parts, everything from “Tender - Insurance - Materials - Liability - Condition of Contract to the use of Sanitary conveniences. Second section has sections re “Carpenter and Joiner - Brick work - Plastering - Electrician - Painter and Glazier”. Each has sections under re their work to be done. Third section is a technical drawing of the Soldiers Memorial Institute minus the Main Hall, it shows scopes of work. The main works covered a new false ceiling in the Office, a new front door entrance to the Foyer in a different position, exhaust fan in the Billiard room, removal of a gate at the Stairwell entrance, fire place repairs, adding chair rails to walls to foyer, Committee room. These works were carried out. There was a false ceiling in the Meeting room but there was no mention re this in the above plans. This ceiling was removed during the 2016 - 2018 major renovations to the SMI. The false ceiling in the Office was removed in a major renovation to the room in 2011 - 2012 and taken back to original.

Legal record - CONSTITUTION, BENDIGO RSL, 1) .2) C. 1952. .3) C.1956
These Constitutions dated 14.11.1952 with the name's , "A.V. Palmer - President" (Bendigo RSL) "N.D. Wilson - President - Vic Branch R.S.S.A.I.L.A". The small booklets were headed "Rules of the Bendigo Returned Servicemen's Club - 1956" As far back as 1950 there was discussion within the Sub Branch re a Club in suitable premises. A property was purchased being 11 McKenzie Street Bendigo with the title dated 9.2.1951, the facility opened on 1.6.1951 but without a Liqueur Licence. Years followed with a failure to be granted one. Finally the facility was sold to Bendigo Legacy and they occupied the building on 7.6.1959 which became known as "Legacy House". This is a very brief version of the events from the Book by Murray Poustie, refer Cat No 8093, The history of the Bendigo RSL. .3) The Rules of the Welfare Committee were in .1) folded in half. There is 6 paragraphs with a total of 18 Clause's.

Series of photos of Commonwealth Defence soldiers based and camped at Selarang Garrison during Ww2. One photo of POW's includes a written description of the Selarang incident. Photos are of high concentrations of allied POW's in the square of the barracks.

The name "HOLLOWAY' regarding RAAF - only one possible name for WW2.
Jacket - dark blue colour wool serge fabric. This jacket has been adapted from a RAAF Service dress jacket to resemble a RAAF Battle Dress Jacket. possibly made in the Norther Territory or on the Islands WW2. Collar, shoulder epaulettes, long sleeves with cuffs and buttons, two front patch pockets with concealed button flaps. Waistband with belt strap and metal slide buckle to fasten jacket. Black colour Bakelite buttons front and cuffs. Mid blue colour cotton lining to pockets and waistband. White colour cotton manufacturers label.

1. Jacket - dark blue wool/polyester fabric. Battle dress style. Collar, shoulder epaulettes with Sqn Leader rank slides - 3 rank stripes, black and blue ribbons and 'AUSTRALIA" . Left sleeve insignia patch - white embroidery Eagle wings over "AIR FORCE" . Two patch pockets with concealed button flap. Right pocket - metal RAAF Badge, above pocket metal name badge. Left pocket - above service ribbons, blue and yellow ribbon with three rosettes - Long service. Black, red and white ribbon - Defence medal. Stretch ribbing waistband to jacket with plastic and metal zipper closer. Dark blue colour polyester lining with concealed pocket Dark blue plastic buttons with shank, raised emblem crown and wings RAAF. White cotton manufacturers label. 2. Cap - dark blue wool/polyester fabric. Utility cap style with Officers Insignia patch - gold embroidery - Queen's crown with red insert, wings and laurel leaves. 1. Jacket - white colour polyester viscose fabric, mess dress style - Summer. Collar and long lapels. Shoulder tapes for epaulettes. Gold colour plastic buttons with shank and metal pin. Raised emlem, crown and wings - RAAF. Lining - white colour polyester fabric. White cotton manufacturers label inside right side of jacket. 2. Shirt - white colour polyester/cotton fabric, dress shirt, collar, stiff front with buttonholes for studs and long sleeves with double cuff and buttonholes for cufflinks. White colour plastic buttons. White colour polyester manufacturers label, below collar inside. 3. Bowtie - black colour polyester/cotton fabric. Bowtie is prefolded and stitches on ribbon with black metal hook and ring closer.
