The Sunbury Library and the George Evans Museum are housed in buildings which were once extensions of the Shire of Bulla Municipal Offices. This house in Albert Road Port Fairy North was bought and removed by the Victorian Government to make way for a new section of the Princes Highway that was to loop around and bypass the town. It was last owned and farmed by Claude and Katrine Brown. Sunday 3 March, 1923 - 200 people, 68 of which were new students, gathered on the Frogmore House lawn to officially open Mentone Grammar. Founding member, J. Allan Anderson had lofty ideals; his vision was for “a Grammar School of some consequence”.

Elizabeth married William Daley. They obtained land on High Street Melton. Their house and bootmaker shop was situated on this block of land. They had two daughters Ann and Elizabeth. Elizabeth had a haberdashery shop and died in 1949. Her sister died in 1933. They are buried at the Melton CemeteryPhotos of Daley in front of his shop and portrait photolocal identities

The intersection of Warrigal Road and Nepean Highway is now a major intersection, serviced by traffic lights. In the 1950s it was a joining of two sealed roads, although covered in gravel, and with wide gravel shoulders. There are no traffic signs and the few houses visible are not set very far back from the road. This image is one of many in the collections that focuses on either roads or the railway. Saved from a house in Nicholson Street, Nunawading owned by the Jenkinson's. Mrs Jenkinson died in Strathdon Nursing Home, Forest Hill and was buried on her 100th birthday. Plaque made in 1922. It was close to the spot where the camera stood that the girls practiced the maypole dance in 1911.
