The badge represents the 1st Australian Armoured Car Section.A triangular metal and enamel unit badge depicting the colour patch of the Armoured Car Section suspended below a gold coloured disc. The disc and badge are connected with a gold coloured chain with a safety pin attached. The back of the disc has a pin and hook attached to allow the wearer to fasten it to a garment.
