Set of destination indicator equipment that was fitted to Z3 and A class trams. Each item consists of various electronic parts contained within a metal case that could have been cabled together. Equipment manufactured by (Carl) C. Brose of Wuppertal Germany and maintained by Font Electronics of Melbourne - some items have the manufacturers details on them along with the details of the maintenance company and serial numbers etc. Photo .1 - shows the set of equipment as placed on display in the training room. .1 - set of two route number boxes, three individual controlled blinds, driven by a motor and control gear. Has a Fluro light fitted internally. Lake Mulwala is a man–made reservoir created through the construction of the Yarrawonga Weir across the Murray River, is located between Bundalong and Yarrawonga in Hume region of Victoria and Mulwala in the Riverina region of New South Wales, in eastern Australia. The weir was constructed in 1939 to provide water for irrigation of the surrounding district. The weir also serves as a crossing of the Murray between the two towns. Bishop Foley of Ballarat accompanied his cousin Archbishop Daniel Mannix of Melbourne on his visit to Rome via the USA and England when Mannix was taken from the ship by British arrest in the Irish Sea and placed under house to prevent his visiting Ireland. Foley spoke at rallies across the USA as did Mannix. Images in this album record stages on the sea voyage and scenes of family in Ireland as Foley continued to his planned destination.One of many images taken on the SS Baltic c.1920 in the Foley album.

Photograph of MMTB Track cleaner - dust vacuum car No 6 at Preston Workshops. Reference page 76 of Destination City says the tram was built in 1915 by the Prahran and Malvern Tramways Trust as a general works car and rail flusher and further modified by the MMTB adding the vacuum equipment to try to control dust. Became known as No. 6 in 1934. Was out of use from the early 1940s and scrapped in 1948. No. 219 has adverts for Metro Hair, Dux and Nabisco biscuits, but is yet to be fitted with marker lights - (fitted Feb. 1974). SW6 866 has been fitted with marker lights (Dec. 1970). The tram was in the livery shown from August 1936 until Dec. 1950. Photo shows W class tram 301 derailed at the intersection of Coldblo Road, the entry into Malvern Tram Depot, and Glenferrie Road. The tram has struck and partly demolished the verandah of a building in front of it. Many uniformed employees are standing around, an overhead tower truck can be seen at the front of the tram.
