Two page Gestetner copy of an amended timetable for tram services in Bendigo for the SECV issued 29 June 1970. Gives times for the departure from the City and the terminus for the Eaglehawk, Quarry Hill, Golden Square and North Bendigo routes. Page 1 for Monday to Friday, page 2 for Saturday and on the bottom of page 2, details of Sunday services commencing from 2pm, until about 10.30pm. May have been the last timetable issued for Bendigo. On Gestetner foolscap sized paper, stapled in the top left corner. Headed the "Northern Electricity Supply Branch / Bendigo Tramways - Amended Timetable - 29th June, 1970" 1637.1 - 2nd copy added 22/08/04 - has two staples in top left hand corner. Gives details of the fare structure, services, route details and index, timetables for each route on weekdays, Saturdays and if a Sunday service. Inside of rear cover folds out (btm1646i1), presenting a colour map of the bus routes around Ballarat, with details of the City area and an inset for the Buninyong route. Yields information about the style and printing of tickets used in Ballarat and Bendigo tramways and how they were presented.Block of 200 tickets - orange ink on off white paper, denomination 5c, lettered A373000 to A 373199, headed State Electricity Commission of Victoria, Provincial Tramways and letters "CITY SECTION" on either side of the ticket, rather than section marks. On rear in orange ink is a diagonal criss cross or tartan pattern. The 200 tickets have been stapled onto a heavy cardboard back with a heavy metal staple and a small cardboard retaining strip at the top of the ticket. Set of 8 SEC decimal tickets found in a tramcar, c1998 or donated by an unknown source as a set of sample tickets. Tickets have been used and are generally in a good condition. The 6c green ticket has varying degrees of dirt. The image file shows the nature of the damage. Tickets have not been individually numbered with the Registration Number, but can be identified by their ticket number and denomination. Set of 14 mixed SEC and BTPS tickets donated to the BTM as a set 1/7/2001. Tickets except for the BTPS ones have note been used. The image file shows the group of tickets. Tickets have not been individually numbered with the Registration Number, but can be identified by their ticket number and denomination. Most of the SEC tickets have the SEC logo "Electricity makes life easier! and small boy wrapped in a towel on the back, unless otherwise noted. Yields information about Uniforms, badges, equipment and the equipment on the tramcars at the time - bumper bars and interior saloon blinds.Photograph of a four SEC crew, Inspector Arthur "Peter" Hugo on the right hand side standing in front of a single truck tram in SEC 1930's colour scheme, March 1937 (from Reg item 2926) at City Loop. Note the high set bumper bar on the tramcar and the large ticket wallet in the Conductors bags and the inside blinds on the windows of the saloon. Alan Bradley advised by e-mail of 1/9/2006 of the change of style of uniform from tunic with high collars to the jacket style. Could be 1940 or slightly earlier. Email with worksheet.
