Newspaper clipping from a newspaper (possibly Melbourne Sun) of 17/9/1970, reporting on the a head - on collision or accident between tram and a semi trailer in Ballarat the previous night. Reports on the injuries to the passenger (Maree Matthews), truck driver (Ronald Cox) and the tram driver (Ian Tierney), gives names and details, time of collision, location and the name and account of an eye-witness. Large portion of the calendar features the changeover from the MMTB to the MTA - eg green colours replacing the orange. Also on the base of the cartoon by Augustine is a number of caricatures of well known MMTB/MTA personnel. On top of the calendar has the letters M&MTB being demolished and those of the MTA being positioned. Printed on heavy cartridge paper. A3 size poster, photocopied with cartoon drawings of a MTA (Metropolitan Transport Authority) crew member and a passenger who waited 30 mins. for a tram and complaining. MTA crew member explains shortage of crews and blames MTA and Minister Tom Roper (Transport Minister at the time) - mid 1980's. On base of poster is "AUTHORISED BY THE WORKERS AT THE SOUTH MELBOURNE DEPOT".
