Maps were used to teach children geography, the explorers, the minerals, the world etc. The school bought and stored the maps so that they were available for use. This predated electronic devices. The KHE Works map was hand drawn showing lots of detail.These maps were used by the Bogong Primary School. The Kiewa Hydro Electric Works was built by the SECV and produced hydro power. This map may have been used by pupils as well as workers on the Works. Large coloured maps on canvas, with a wooden beam along the top and bottom. Each one has a cord attached to the top so that the map may be hung up on a wall. Some are made by Chas. H. Scally & Co., Baronia Ave., Wollstonecraft, N.S.W. Two photos from a book compiled about the Legacy children's residence called Stanhope. One photo shows a reunion in 1959 featuring several past residents, their husbands and children. Faces have small numbers indicating their names which were recorded on the back: 1 Margaret Guy, 2 Greg Guy, 3 and 4 are their children. 5 Bab Thompson 6 his wife, 7 their child. 8 Alice Cameron and 9 her husband (Black) and their four children. 10 is Lois Clark (nee Fitzsimmons) and one child. 11 Doreen Ashworth and 12 is her husband (Closter) and their three children. The other photo shows two children of past residents. Names written on the page it was stuck on were 'Boy Guy' and 'Baby John Frost'. Stanhope was supervised by Matron Dorothy (Dorrie) Vines from the time it opened in 1946 until she retired in December 1966. It is likely she compiled this notebook. Individual pages of photos or newspaper clippings have been added separately. Items 01817 to 01836. Blamey House (purchased 1947) , Stanhope (purchased 1945) and Harelands (purchased 1950) were residences run by Melbourne Legacy to take care of children whose fathers were servicemen, and who may have been left orphans, or whose mother may have been unable to care for them herself, or they needed to stay in Melbourne for further education. Generally, Harelands accommodated boys and girls under the age of 14, Blamey House looked after boys over 14, and Stanhope looked after girls over 14. The children were cared for until they were old enough to become independent. A record of a reunion at Stanhope. During surgery under general anaesthetic, these forceps were used to pull the tongue forward to keep the patient's airways clear from obstruction. This tool was in general use from the 1930s onwards in teaching hospitals, and became a standard piece of equipment on all anaesthetic trolleys. In the majority of teaching hospitals, the blades of these forceps were smooth and wide to cause less trauma to the tongue. This particular style of tongue forceps is known as Guy's tongue forceps.Dr Mitchell Henry O'Sullivan worked in the Victorian country town of Casterton as a general practitioner from 1919 until his death in 1977. He also practiced obstetrics. His son, Dr David More O'Sullivan donated his obstetric bag and its contents to the College in 1999. The bag and contents are a unique time capsule of the type of instruments and pharmaceuticals used in the inter-war period.Pair of metal forceps. Similar in appearance to a pair of scissors, and other surgical forceps, but with rounded teardrop shaped tips. There is also a notch clip for the handle to keep the forceps open. Inner aspect of both forceps blades engraved with the number '3'. The left hand blade is also engraved with a 'P'.anaesthesia

The Falls Creek Race Club was started in the late 60's by Rodney Moss assisted by Bob Howe from Albury Ski Club and Geoff Henke from Moloney's. The club ran races on the summit every weekend and later started the training squad. Its aim is to promote all the skills of skiing and snowboarding and to improve the safety and enjoyment of the sport for all age groups. As an athlete's skills Improve so they can begin to train and race at Children's level races and move on to Junior and Senior levels, possibly aspiring to the Masters Circuit or State and National Teams. Hundreds of children have been involved over the past four decades and the program has produced a number of skiers who have been successful at national and international levels. Falls Creek has produced Olympians Ross and Malcolm Mine, Joanne Henke, Jenny Altermatt, Steven Lee in Alpine skiing. Dick Walpole and Chris Heberle in Cross Country, Britteny Cox, Paul and Adrian Costa in Freestyle Moguls. This Can opener was used at the Bandiana Golf Club near Wodonga. Bonzer was a trademark of Mitchell & Cooper of England. Alfred Mitchell & Arthur Cooper started as silversmiths and engravers in 1879 in East London. The family owned business is still operated by Guy Cooper, great grandson of Arthur Cooper. Bandiana Army Golf Club 18 hole course opened in 1949. The Club reached its highest membership with 400 members in the late 1980s.
